I have a good reason!!!!

Yep, I have a very good reason for not blogging since Feb......we have been on holidays!!!! Been back a few weeks but just now seems to have finally got back into the daily routine. Its been soooo busy at home, hubby's work (seeding is just round the corner) and school. I have 2 layouts to show, ones that I did just before we went on holiday.

just love this photo!!! Iona was smiling but at the last minute change she smile into this. This is look I get at LEAST once a day but usually many times. So glad i caught it on film.
Products used was My Mind eye paper, Glimmer mist, Kasiercraft stamp, prima flower and ink, boarder punch, chipboard and Purple Pumpkin button and doily.

This is Sophie age 3 months and 5yrs. On the back on the clock and the card with the girl are the likes Sophie had at that age and where she was living at the time. (hence the tractor chipboard as Sophie loves tractors) The tree in the title is done using embossing powders and the 'growing up' used kasiercraft paint. Just love looking back on photos and seeing how much my not so little girl has changed :)
Products used: Kasiercraft paint, paper, little girl card, Bo-Bunny paper, Scrap Sanity banns (loved using it) Manor flowers, Prima ink and flower.

Soooo hopefully now that everything has settle down I can blog at a min once a week.....any bets that will last???? lol

Thanks for reading

Vintage Kit

So I am a little late in my weekly post but have been busy unpacking and setting up the craft room. Then after months of not being able to scrap I did my first layout.

Most on this layout came from a kit I won from Scrap Sanity. Its a vintage kit and I just love it. I did not use all of it on my layout but have plenty left over to use on another. Click HERE  to see this fab kit

The cardstock, paper, lace, chipboard letters and chipboard butterfly are from the kit. I used glimmer mist to mist the cardstock, the dollie and lace. I used purple ink for the butterfly and chipboard letter.

I used a kasercraft stamp with prima in, cuttlebug and heart die to layer with lace and butterfly

An old prima flower inked with prima ink, purple rose and staples

I layered a purple pumpkin button with an old prima flower (inked around the edges) kasiercraft chipboard, 2 purple flowers. This is the first time ever I used a purple pumpkin flower and I LOVE THEM!!! Will so be using them again.

This layout is me as a child (all together awwwww lol) It is for a challenge for Scrap Sanity to scrap school photos. Click HERE for all the details.

Thanks for looking and please leave comments if you want to

OMG I have blogged!!!

Yep that's right folks....after nearly 3 months I am put fingers to keyboard lol

I have not scrapped in months due to moving house....its been a 2 month lonnnngggg drawn out thing and I still have not unpacked the craft stuff which means it will be a few weeks yet til i scrap :(

But I do have 3 layouts that I am very proud of and some very good news :)

First the layouts....the 1st 2 are layouts I did for try-outs for DT, which I never got on....bar one (will keep you guessing....)

This was one I did for 2 Crafty, an Australian chipboard company. I just love this layout and how it turned out.  The title was coloured by distress stain and the cloud by painting them very lightly. The clock was from a Prima package (re-use everything) and paper was Echo park. Also used the cuttlebug and dies.

I went old school and crunched up the paper, flattened lightly and inked with distress ink. I also used the 'sew easy' for the stitching. Just love how this layout turned out....and the photo of my girl covered in mud lol

Man oh man I need to learn to take the photos straight lol
This was another layout done for 2 Crafty. The chipboard on this was embossed with 2 colours, another old school technique. Again the clock is re-used from prima packaging. Another layout of my girl and the many smiles that she gives :)

This last layout I did for scrap sanity and there first ever challenge.

The challenge was to do journalling somewhere, hidden or not on the layout. Mine is hidden and says:
He will always to be there if you ever need him
He will always love you no matter what you say or do
He will always put you first
And you will always be his little girl

Love this one, one of the reasons to scrap is to keep memories for our children :)

Ok the fab news is.......I WILL BE A GUEST DT FOR SCRAP SANITY!!!!!  I tried out for the full-time DT and ended up getting a guest part!!! I was soooo shocked as I did not think I had a chance at any of it. A biggggg thank-you to Tiff Sawyer :)

Now I know I said this before but this is my yr to blogged, I am going to blogged at least once a week, hoping for more but aim for once a week. Till I have my scrap stuff out of boxes there will not be much layouts but please keep checking :)

Cheers

OTP Tractor

Hello everyone :)

Its a new month and its harvest time. Its has been busy in between showers of rain but hopefully the rain has stopped, or that might be wishful thinking lol

Have not been able to get much done lately with all that's been happening in our household but I did do an OTP item that my oldest daughter choose as a birthday gift. After much thinking of if In had time (and did I really want to do it) I brought it.

To my surprise I loved making it and have ordered more to do.

Sorry there is no close up as I have already gave the gift away and forgot about taking more photos.

I painted the tractor green (my daughter wanted a John Deere), and the carriages blue and red, all on the inside. I then selected paper ( from the farm range and Madam Boutique from Kasiercaft) traced around the shapes, distressed the edges, inked them and stuck down. I used Spellbinders dies for the wheels. I spent what felt like hrs on the window, getting the look just right on white card, then traced that onto paper. I then used the die cuts from the farm range and stuck on. (there are sooooo many great dies and any would have been great)

It would take someone without small kids a good 4-5hrs in one hit (It took me 3 days as I could only do a bit at night), more if you do more layers with paint.

All this products come from Scrapbooking in Geraldton.

Layout of Mikayla

Hi, hope everyone had a fab weekend.

I am sharing 2 layouts that I have done of our new bundle of joy, Mikayla.

The first is for Scrap the girls where you need to do a layout with the work 'love' in the title and some distressing. My title is I will love you forever and I distress around the photo (like I always do) and around paper and some embellishments
This is the first time I am entering in the 'Scrap the girls' challenge.

The background paper is from prima, the strip paper is Webster, the card and other paper is from kasiercraft. The clock is also from kasiercraft paper. The 'forever' butterfly, love heart and words around clock are from Webster pages, Flowers are Prima , so is the ink I used and other letter in title from October Afternoon. the punch I used is from Stampin'up

This layout I used Stampin' up cardstock, Webster pages paper (also used them for handmade flower) and stickers, Glimmer Mist, Prima flower and ink, Tara Green Flower. A2Z Chipboard, Kasiercraft paint and rhinestone, cuttlebug

Am really happy with both layouts

Thanks for looking

Scrapbooking In Geraldton and DT pack from Scrapbooking Haven

First of all I want to do A BIIIIGGGGG shot out to Scrapbooking In Geraldton. They have been opened for one yr as a shop (5yrs as a Internet shop) and it is the BEST shop to visit. With 3 young kids, shopping is not a fun thing....unless you shop at Scrapbooking In Geradlton. It is VERY kid friendly and has nice chairs for feeding babies. The shelves are nice and wide apart for prams and strollers, 2 toilets and Marike (owner) is fab at helping you find what you need. She is also up todate with all that's new in the scrapbooking world, hold classes most weekends and some in the week. So if you live in Geraldton, or visiting the area, it is a MUST you go to 1/125 Flores Rd Geraldton (in between all the male shops so you don't have any men looking at their watches lol) or head to shop website for some great shopping :)

Ok for some pics of my fab page and OTP that I have done using the fab Kasiercraft Miss Nelly from Scrapbooking Haven. I am so very lucky to be part of their DT and Amy does give us wonderful packs to work with.

This is an easy OTP to do and great if you have never done one before. I traced the shape I wanted covered with paper, cut it out, distress the edges then inked them. I painted the parts that was not covered with paper, I did about 4 layers of paint to give good coverage. Then I stuck everything together, put rhinestones for eyes and used Miss Nelly stickers for the name. Last i used Glitter ribbon around the base.  Just love the finished look

For some reason i thought that lace was straight.....will measure for now on lol Again the paper, flowers and the dark blue letters are from the Miss Nelly collection. The chipboard, Gingham frill (around flower) are from scrapbooking haven. This will have to be one of my all time fav layouts ever!!! The sketch I got from another DT member, Marisa Page. I have done it now 3 times. The roses were from the rub-on pack that I rub-on paper, cut out and layered.

For all the products head HERE.

Well my kids are now crying so I better go

Colour challenge

Scapbooking Haven is having a colour challenge with colours blue, bright green, red and a cream yellow. (Click Here to go to site)
This was a hard one for me as I don't do 'bright' colours. After putting it off for a while I decided to go for it and looked at my photos. As soon as I saw the ones of my oldest daughter painting I knew I could do the challenge. The photos went sooo well with the colour challenge. The title was done by using color box ink and embossing enamel with the colours red, blue and green to give it a painted look. I just love the finish of it

I should also say that the challenge requires you to have at least 2 photos and something that is ripped.

Cheers
Belinda
