Sketch Challenge for MAS

Hi everybody!!!! I have been sooo very quite on here due to school holidays and cross stitching my youngest daughter Christmas Stocking (I want it finished by dec) But I have still been scrapping up a storm.

Today I want to show you the sketch challenge for Mad About Scrapping and some  of the prizes that are up for grabs. It has changed and the challenge is now being ran though their blog with a Linky to link up from your blog to the challenge.

First here is my take on the sketch:

I have used NO pattern paper and lots of mix media. The background was created by using Gelatos, Shimmerz Paints Dazzerlers (the green in the circle) Shimmerz Bling, Hedi Swapp Spray and Kaisercraft Stamps. Lots and lots of layering til I got the look I wanted.

Instead of  paper I used washi tape and layered it a bit on each other. I have also used an A2Z Scraplet (the new owner has the machine up and running, WATCH THIS SPACE)

The title was Prima that I spayed with orange mist

To finish off a Charms Creation heart and a D'Lish Scraps flower.

As you can see I used 1 photo instead of 4 (Amy Prior did a fab job creating this sketch)

Out of all the new release layouts I did for A2Z, this has to be my most favourite one. Its of my youngest daughter (who is a daddy's girl through and through) and hubby.

I did the background by using the new A2Z Stencil, putting texture paste over it and then spraying mist on the top on the page and letting it drip down.

The new Scraplet 'My Dad'. I gessoed it then sprayed over it with mist and using a baby wipe, wiped most of the colour off. The paper flower is from Charms Creation and the rest is from Mad About Scrappin.

These 'Map Pointers' are also new Scraplets. After gessoing I inked them blue. I also used the arrows on the inside of the pointers on the background.
