You Brighten Up My Day-New Realease from A2Z

I am sorry for those who have already seen this but I am sharing today my canvas that I did with one of the new releases from A2Z Scraplets. I will also tell you how I did the background

Here is the canvas (my first EVER)

First for the new release:

'You Brighten Up My Day' was from a quote challenge a little while back that they made into a Scraplet. I gesso it then painted it Yellow with Kaisercraft paint. The butterfly is also from A2Z and comes in a pack of 8.

For the background on the canvas I painted it with gesso first. I then put strips of washi tape (from Scrapbooking In Geraldton) randomly over the canvas including the side. I then painted it with Kasiercraft paint. Once dried I used an October Afternoon Stamp and stamped over the canvas. I did the sides as well.

The Thing that is covered with paper is also from A2Z. I glued the paper (from October Afternoon) on the Scraplet. Once dried with a knife I cut around the Scraplet.

The flowers are Prima, charms from Handmade Halo and Sun And Clouds are Charms Creation.

July Savvy Sketch Challenge

After a week of it sitting on my desk I have finished Scrapbooking Savvy July Sketch Challenge!!!!

One of the new Stencils from A2Z Scraplets. I have just used part of the stencil with texture paste.

An A2Z Scraplet title just painted black with red and white paper stuck behind the 'in' to make it pop. And the chevron is from Charms Creation.

The black heart if from A2Z, the paper, tag, red/white heart and twine are all from Scrapbooking Savvy kits.

The flower was white but I sprayed it with black glimmer mist.

Layout from the New A2Z Release

Today I can show 1 of the layouts I did for the new release from A2Z.

The word ADORE and the hearts are from one of 9 new stencils!!!! plus....

CHERISH. Loved these words and ones that I want to use again.

Scrapbooking From Scratch Sketch Challenge

I FINALLY done all my Dt work (which I can not share just yet) and did a layout for the Scrapbooking From Scratch. They have 2 challenges every month and I did the sketch one.

Here is my layout:

I have used an A2Z Scraplet for the title. After using Tim holts on it I hated how it looked. So I gessoed it to start again but loved how it looked so left it. I have also used a Purple Pumpkin Button and Charm Creation Mini Runner. The paper is all from Echo Park Beautiful Life Range.

The sun and cloud are also from Charm Creation and the stencil used is from A2Z. I also used some Glimmer Mist.

I am trying to use at least some of the stickers that come with kits and not just hand them over to my kids lol. And, of, course, some twine

Here is the sketch....really not sure if my layout looks like the sketch but I really did try and stick to it

Challenge and links to some blogs I like

Sorry its been quite, had over a week with me and the kids being sick. Then it was back into scrapping for the up coming release from A2Z Scraplets.

Scrappy Day In Paradise is another of my fav blogs. I always come away filled with mojo. She is also on many fab DT

Kiandra Kreations is a blog I have been following for some time. Filled with fab layouts, new ideas and enters lots of very cool challenges (also good when you need one to do) she has become a DT for Megs Garden

Lizzy Hill layouts are filled with detail and users all sort of mediums. She is FILLED with new ideas. I just love receiving the email saying she has posted.

Song Title Cyber Challenge

On the weekend (before me and my girls all got sick) I did a layout for Scrapbooking Savvy monthly Cyber Crop. I only did one of the challenges but I just love this layout.

The challenge was to use a song title, any song title. I choose GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN. You also needed to mist the background and use glitter. Glitter was a hard one as I hate glitter.

Here is the layout:

When I was looking through my A2Z Scraplets I was amazed that I had the song in Scraplet!!!!

With the title I gessoed it then painted brown over it, wiped some off and added more gesso for an dirty look. The splats are from the new A2Z Stencil SPLAT 01. I used a little glitter glue in the mud splats.

The Charm Creation Star was perfect!!! And I used D-Lish Scraps Flowers to (behind the rip)

Here is a Chevon from Charms Creation and the twine I used is from Scrapbooking Savvy, the range of twine they have is AMAZING!!!!

So the products I used are:
