Mad About Scrapping June Challenge

FOR MY MASSIVE GIVEAWAY HEAD HERE

After months of 'I am going to do that challenge' and never doing it, I have done a Mad About Scrapping monthly challenge. This month you have yo:

Have a frame somewhere on your layout
Another word for HAPPINESS
Alter an embellishment

Here is my take:

The paper, washi tape, the blue flower (was white but I misted it blue), frame all came from a Kit from Scrapbooking Savvy. They also sell the twine.

Close ups:

Instead of paper I used washi tape and an A2Z Stencil. the Charms Creation was a different colour but with a bit of gesso and yellow Kaisercraft paint it was altered

This A2Z Scraplet title is just beautiful. I wanted to use it in a non wedding way and the photo of hubby with number 3 was perfect.

The white flower was also altered with a bit of blue mist. The 2 yellow flowers came from Scrapbooking In Geraldton. The word 'LOVE' is my other word for HAPPINESS.

This was also in Scrapbooking Savvy Kit.

Flourish With A Bling June Challenge

Flourish With A Bling has a sketch challenge for June and I decided to give it a go.

One of the rules is to use FWAB so I cut up one of the flourish I and put it around the flowers

 

 

 

What would a layout be without an A2Z Scraplet??? Naming Day was gessoed , then using white and pink Distress paint from Tim Holts to give it a shabby look

 

 

 

 

 

 

And I used a A2Z Flourish Stencil. Love this stencil, has sooooo many uses.

Its been a while since I have done a Feeling Sketchy challenge.....or I should say first time in a while that I have done the sketch in the time frame to do it. Often I do the sketch a week late. But as I just LOVE their sketches I always print them out to have on hand.

This is my take on the sketch:

I have used the Tria Markers from Scrap Everything, scraps of Echo Park and Prima paper and the Motex label maker thingy from D'Lish Scraps .

Cards using Tria Markers

I have finally caught on the colouring stamps craze thanks to Tria Markers. I first got a few from a DT pack from Scrap Everything. At first I was 'OH NO' til I had a better look and went 'WOW'

First and a big thing for me, they don't smell of alcohol. I don't mind a drink (or 2) but to smell it while colouring no thanks. 2nd was that each marker has 3 points, very thin, medium and thick. 3rd and lastly you don't need to buy every shade in a certain colour as the marker can go over the colour to make it darker!!!! So if you used a blue and want to make some areas darker you use the marker and colour in what you want. The money you can save!!!!

So here are 2  cards I made. Please remember that this is my only 3rd and 4th time at this so shading  might not be best.

The markers I used are: C719, XB, R327, BL, R354, O345, O729, R465, G126

And I used these markers: R465, V546, V564, Y337, O527, O729, C847, O345, O527, G136, G935 and B546.

For the background I sprayed mist on a spare paper ad picked up the colour using a water brush.
