Hi hope your week has started off ok :D
I am showing a layout I did for Scrap the girls challenge which is to scrap a layout using black, white and one other colour. It has me stumped for a bit then I decided to go with blue
So I used an template for the background and inked it (the mist look really bad but the kids loved it when I handed it to them lol) I backed the photo with black card and prima paper. The flowers are manor and prima, words are October afternoons and basic grey. Chipboard I have no idea and I have used a Charm Creations page runner. I made the paper using Die-namices dies and some twine.
Turned out better then I thought it would so after having it finished for a week have decided to enter it in the challenge :)

123 challenge layout
I have for the first time EVER entered the 123 challenge. This month the challenge was to use the word MY, colour PURPLE and use CHEVRON.
After looking back on the layout I don't think I can win anything as I don't think what I used as chevron will pass for it. I had huge issues with this. I had nothing that was chevron and what ever I made look bad on the layout. In the end i used ric rac and using glimmer mist die it purple. I really like the look of it but don't think its chevron enough. but I had fun going this layout
Hmmmm that little flower has such a shadow on it :( oh well. I used a stamp for the background and for the word 'MY', purple pumpkin button and dolly, prima paper and ink, twine, kaisercrafr letters. Simple yet all about the photo. I have now done 3 layouts for my in laws to take back to Scotland.....and have lots more to do lol
Head HERE if you want to try out.

Daring you to scrap layout
Daring you to scrap has a new challenge this month.....to use tape and twine on your layout. Now I DO have washi tape but am not a big fan of just putting a strip here and there (saying that i do have a bit on the layout I did). So with my thinking cap on I decided to tape the tape non card and using dies and my cuttlebug make shapes with it. And i think it turned out ok
The butterfly and green near the flowers are washi tape. The dies I used are Dienamics (which I just LOVE). The twine is in the flags. I also used Purple Pumpkin button and dolly, kaisercraft paper, Prima paper and ink and workshop templates. Its a simple layout really but I think it turned out ok
Head HERE to join in the fun

A layout, some good news AND photos of my craft room
Well, it took me a week but I finally finished one layout!!! Its been soooo busy that I have only been able to grab 10mins here, 10mins there. But hey that's life sometimes.
The layout I did was for the A2Z July challenge. The challenge was to use the sketch. And it was a very fab sketch
And my take
Hopefully you can see the sketch. I used kasiercraft paper and paint, prima ink, flowers, leaves, stamp and word 'wonder', october afternoons letters, A2Z chipboard (heart and key) Dienamics dies (butterfly and cloud), color box ink and flourish with a bling pearls. Head Here to try yourself :)
My In laws are coming out from Scotland later in the yr so am trying to do them stuff that they can take home. So you will be seeing lots of 'grandparents stuff'.
Now my good news......1st: because there was not a lot of entries last month for the A2Z challenge they are giving everyone that entered a prize!!! YAY ME lol and they had a blog hop at the beginning of the month and I won a prize from one of the DT!!! YAY ME again!!! Head to Tracey Thorne to check out her very fab blog :)
Now for the photos of my craft room. I got a new table that was left in the house on the farm we brought. So it meant moving the craft room around. And for once it was neat so I took some photos
Part of new table with shelf's underneath
Whole table
What I used before, now stores mine and the kids stuff
It is sad that the first 2 drawers hold stamps???? lol
And a spot for the kiddies to do their thing
Thanks for stopping by and having a look
Cheers
Belinda :)

New feeling sketchy sketch
What a week so far, all of us in the Scott household has either a cold or the flu. Very over it. Have soooo much to do and its just not happening. If it was not the fact I needed a card for a friend that has had a new baby I would not have done this week sketch. And that would have been a pity, its a fab sketch, one that was been filed to re use.
And my take is........
I have really enjoyed making cards and using up all my scraps (I hate throwing anything away) and feeling sketchy has really helped me along. Head HERE to see the sketch, the top 4 from last week and the monthly winner

its a bit late....
Yep late by one day but just did not have the time the week for scrapbooking or card making. So this layout for the Feeling Sketchy is late (due sunday) Oh well I still had fun doing it :)
This was taken on hoildays this yr at Donnybrook playground (its massive and free) Love this photo. Mikayla just loves her Dad, will search the whole house looking for him if she knows he is home :)
I used Stampin'up cardstock, Prima paper, ink and flowers, October Afternoons paper, Delish pearls, Purple Pumpkin button, Glimmer mist, Punches, Crafters template, A2Z chipboard and Kaisercraft paint. I mixed a bit of paint with glimmer mist for the chipboard, trying to go for a swirl look (don't think I got it really)
Feeling Sketchy has a card sketch due on Sunday, go HERE to see it.
